Mornington Peninsula Shires Festival of Arts & Ideas will be held May 15 29 at various locations across the Peninsula and will celebrate the creative works of local and Victorian artists, authors & musicians. The Festival offers a forum to bring together creative talent on the Peninsula and the opportunity for this creativity to be shared with local residents. The Festival of Arts and Ideas aims to revitalise arts and culture on the Peninsula by engaging local artists & showcasing the diversity of our arts community. The goals for the festival are to: - Highlight the strength, diversity & broad range of cultural pursuits that engage Peninsula communities - Build links & networks between our arts & cultural communities - Create an 'Arts Trail of events & activities involving Peninsula communities and residents of all ages - Expand the current Writers Festival as a cultural event - Build the cultural tourism potential for the Mornington Peninsula in the 'off' season Take part in a workshop, attend the Festival launch party or come and browse the Fair Trade Arts Exhibition, the Peninsula Festival of Arts & Ideas has something for everyone. Places are limited for many of the programs workshops and readings so booking is essential. We now have a Twitter account!
