Mornington Peninsula Brewers clean up in 2021 Australian International Beer Awards

Mornington Peninsula is home to a vibrant and creative craft beer scene. They have made the region proud by winning gold, silver, and bronze awards at the recent Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA).

First established in 1987 as a national competition, the Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA) is now the largest annual global beer competition assessing draught and packaged beer. The award attracts around 2,600 entries from more than 400 breweries in 26 countries.

Conducted by The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria, the awards attract highly regarded expert industry professionals from all across the world to the judging panel.

For those of you eager to sample a sip of an award-winning brew, read on to hear which ones impressed the industry experts too.

  • Darklord Imperial Stout - Gold
  • Overdrive West Coast IPA - Silver
  • Supertrooper Imperial NEIPA - Silver
  • Jungle Juice Hazy IPA - Silver
  • Choctail Espresso Mocha Stout - Silver
  • Equalizer Hazy Pale - Bronze
  • Amplifier Cranked -Up Hazy IPA - Bronze

Smart Brothers Brewing (first-timers at AIBA)

  • Summer Pilsner was awarded a Bronze in category 4A – German Style Pilsner (Best Pilsner).
