A New Reason To Celebrate

As one of the most acclaimed treasures of the region, our vineyards along the Mornington Peninsula are simply unbeatable. Now, and following a recent announcement by the Victorian Minister for Agriculture, there is even more reason to celebrate the enchanting identity which exists amidst the lush grapevines and rolling hinterland hills.

Resulting from the outstanding work of dedicated survey teams and leaders of the industry, Mornington Peninsula’s vineyards are officially free from the deadly grapevine pest phylloxera. Over the past four years, hundreds of grapevines have been examined and inspected for the existence of this unwanted guest. With no evidence to verify its presence in the region, our beautiful vines can now be deemed phylloxera-free.

So what does this mean for the industry? Easier viticultural trade with other regions and increased confidence for growers to continue implementing biosecurity strategies represent some of the most significant benefits from this announcement. Our grape growers, vignerons and vineyard workers are a true inspiration throughout the region, as they persist in cultivating and distributing their produce to the highest of standards.

For the many admirers who visit our countless vineyards from summer through to spring, we invite you to once again witness the exceptional. Our grapes have never been more alluring, as they are moulded into taste sensations to satisfy indefinitely. We look forward to seeing you soon under the warm summer sun, enjoying a signature glass of vino whilst gazing out to unmatched panoramic views.

Need inspiration to start your journey? Take a look at our extensive list of wineries and vineyards around the region...there’s a slice of paradise waiting for everyone.
