Mountain Bike Trial on Arthurs Seat Eagle

Arthurs Seat Eagle is trialing taking mountain bikes on the gondola from 2 July through to 21 September 2018, 7 days a week. Purchase a MTB half day ticket at the Eagle or online and you and your bike can ride up the hill inside a cabin as many times as you like in a three hour period. Tickets are limited so online purchase is recommended.

For full details head to the Arthurs Seat Eagle website here.

Arthurs Seat Eagle are new to this so will be taking baby steps on the journey to create a useful and efficient mode of transport for MTB riders.

You take on the awesome challenges of riding down the Red Hill MTB Tracks and they will look after the getting you up there part.

The number of tickets available are limited so online purchase is recommended.

How it works:

  • Leave your bike at the bike rack and purchase your ticket at the ticket box
  • Follow signage to the Bike Entrance - this is separate to the entry for passengers on foot
  • Friendly lift attendants will guide you and your bike onto the gondola
  • The journey to the Summit Station will take approximately 14 minutes
  • Wheel your bike out the side door as sign-posted
  • From the top of Arthurs Seat the closest trail, the Red Hill MTB Trails is a 5-minute ride. Other trails are a 15-minute ride away.

Please note: The gondolas do not operate in strong winds. Please call before booking if you are unsure of the weather conditions.
