Great local brews with great local views

Have you checked out the "Yardarm Bar" - it's the Mornington Peninsula's newest roof top bar and it's right on the water (literally) with amazing views.

The name refers to the horizontal timbers on the masts of old sailing ships, as there used to be a saying “When the sun is over the yardarm” Which meant when the sun shone was high enough in the sky and over the yardarm it was a permissible time to have the first drink of the day….usually 11am.

You will find it on board Searoad Ferries and serving St Andrews Beach Brewery craft beer & the odd cocktail or two!

Melbourne painter, illustrator, pianist and all round nice guy, Mike Makatron, created a back drop for the bar that rivals the view.  This colourful and whimsical take on the”kraken” and underwater scene makes for a good vibe, along with the bar, wine barrels and plenty of seating.

Whether you are catching up with friends or just soaking in the views, this is the place to be on a summers day. Nothing beats a nice cold drink and a bit of a breeze. Located on the top deck of the MV Queenscliff (departs Queenscliff odd hours, Sorrento even hours). Opening hours are subject to weather.
