Many a little makes a muckle...

Introducing 'Many Little' - the newest member of the Polperro family that has just opened with a definite relaxed, convivial vibe and designed to comfort and nourish.

Harvested from the established rich heritage of Polperro Winery (and its owners Sam Coverdale and Emma Phillips), Many Little is a new all-day bistro, late night bar, cellar door and meeting place guaranteed to charm local residents and visitors alike. Set in an incredibly unique and inimitable location on the Mornington Peninsula, Many Little is Polperro’s newest venture that adds to the lineage of iconic placemaking within Red Hill. A space that caters to more than 190 people, Many Little is dotted with intimate spaces but also boasts a beer garden in the open courtyard which overlooks the enviable views of the adjoining farmland.

The design and feel will be familiar to Polperro regulars, with a complete new fit out delivered by Hecker Guthrie. Hamish Guthrie’s inspiration was drawn “from the diverse rural setting, with the views of the muted green landscape perfectly framing the internal palette, bringing the beauty of the surrounds inward through textural brick, terrazzo and rich timber elements.” Many Little incorporates “a sense of artisan or craft in the detailing of each element – a handmade quality”.

Also joining the fold this year, a full-time Produce Manager as part of a commitment to growing and sourcing seasonal local produce which provides inspiration and influence on the evolving menus at Polperro and Many Little. While the Polperro restaurant will continue to showcase a more refined offering, Many Little’s menu is matched to the relaxed, convivial vibe and designed to comfort and nourish. Open seven days a week, the menu will include  breakfast, lunch and dinner, made up of produce sourced from Sam and Emma’s own estate, or from exclusive local organic supply partners.

Featuring local crafted brews and an extensive range of cocktails, Many Little will also be offering a specially curated wine list, showcasing local Victorian producers, as well as a cellar door offering the opportunity to experience a small selection  of micro producers from the peninsula including, of course, Polperro and Even Keel wines.

Like all projects undertaken by Sam and Emma, Many Little has been lovingly created with meticulous attention to detail and an intrinsic understanding of what the community needs. Designed specifically with locals in mind, Many Little is the product of a shared passion for an experience that connects patrons to its source.

Originating from a Cornish saying ‘many a little makes a mickle’ – when together, many small things make something great – Many Little is a nod to the members of the local community who have contributed to making Red Hill the charming and thriving place it is today.
