Chief’s Son Distillery is one of the largest Single Malt Whisky Distilleries in Australia, yet very few people knew of its existence until it burst onto the scene in March this year. Since launching, they have not only taken the Australian industry by storm but are now taking on the World… and winning.
This vibrant, family-owned and operated distillery is located on Victoria’s beautiful Mornington Peninsula, just 40 minutes outside of Melbourne. With a large craft capacity, their purpose-built distillery focusses on creating the most unique, complex, smooth and consistent malt whiskies.
‘We are so honoured to be recognised by these incredible awards. They make the destination even better than the journey!” said Stuart McIntosh, Co-founder, owner and distiller at Chief Son Distillery. “We really want to recognise the incredible support and craftsmanship that has gone into forging this distillery and also in creating these whiskies. From the fabrication of the distilling system to the Maltsters, the Coopers, the Trades and so on. These awards are every part your success as ours’.
Their four different styles of whisky offer a unique and powerful range that reflect the provenance of the region, merged with a modern, manual craft approach. With interest from all around the world, they are placed to influence the premium end of the Whisky market across the globe.
These awards not only confirm the Distillery’s standing within the world whisky community but reflect the uniqueness, quality and craftsmanship of their whisky.
