The Peninsula Marquee will be the place for food and wine enthusiasts this Ladbrokes Peninsula Cup Day.

Josh Pelham, Executive Chef at Cape will be at the helm of the culinary experience having curated the menu and tasked with its execution on race day, with the finest produce from the local area matched perfectly with some of the best wine producers Peninsula has to offer in this trackside dining experience.

Mornington Boat Hire wins Heritage Award

Paul Pingiaro, owner of Mornington Boat Hire, was thrilled to recently receive his second Mornington Peninsula Heritage award – this year for signage based on his research of the story of his business. Starting life as ‘Irvine’s Royal Public Baths’, Paul found that as early as 1879 the Mornington sea baths had evolved to offer a kiosk and boat hire venue. In those days thousands of day trippers came by ferry to bathe at Schnapper Point, Mornington.

Condé Nast Traveler has announced the results of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards and Australian boutique hotel collection Lancemore has again been recognised as the most awarded hotel group in Australia for the second year in a row – with two of their properties, Lancemore Lindenderry Red Hill and Lancemore Mansion Hotel Werribee Park, ranking third and ninth.

Delicious Australia have announced the 20 best wine holiday destinations and have asked consumers how far they will travel for a good drop?  Apparently, Melbournians will not have to travel that far with the Mornington Peninsula being named one of the top 20 destinations in the world for a vino vacation!
