2020 Best Cellar Door Awards announced

In announcing the 2020 ‘Gourmet Traveller WINE’ Best Cellar Door Awards, the Mornington Peninsula is again recognised for the exceptional wine experiences that it offers. Judged by some of Australia’s leading wine writers these annual awards are highly prestigious and deserved acknowledgment for our regions star wineries and top tasting experiences.

The maritime influence on Mornington peninsula vineyards, winemakers and wine is not to be understated. One-off micro-climates within the hills and valleys of Red Hill, Main Ridge and surrounds give scope for experimentation. Mild winters and summer sea breezes play their part. The results of this cool climate are world class chardonnay and pinot noir, as well as a host of other varietals for our tasting pleasure. Although the current Covid-19 restrictions mean that the way we enjoy our Mornington Peninsula wine experiences is a bit different, they are still accessible and definitely worth exploring. Read on to find out how.
