Budget + Backpackers

There is a limited range of Mornington Peninsula accommodation to suit smaller budgets.

Try our cheap and cheerful three star motels with basic facilities, or camping with your own tent or caravan at any of our caravan parks or along the foreshore next to the beach. If you are on a budget and enjoy sharing stories with other travellers then backpacker hostels could suit your traveling style with a choice of shared dorms or private rooms, and a vibrant community atmosphere.

Rosebud Foreshore Camping

Rosebud Foreshore Camping stretches 10 kilometres along the sparkling water from Capel Sound (West Rosebud) to the seaside village of McCrae. Facilities include shower and toilet blocks, grassy areas shaded by large trees, kids’ play areas, barbecues, boat launching ramps close by and the extensive shopping of Rosebud just over the road.

Amenities include toilets, hot and cold showers, and laundry facilities. Most sites are powered, however there are a few non-powered sites in most sections. Water taps are shared and are not for exclusive use for any site.
