11 autumn adventures not to miss!

Autumn is a wonderful time to take long walks, head to a foodie event or try something new. We have plenty of autumn ideas for you to try and this time of year it’s a perfect excuse to find your next adventure. Take the day, or take a few, and find some new favourite autumn antics on the Mornington Peninsula.

1. Walk from side to side

Now is an ideal time to head out on the Two Bays Walking Track. It’s not too hot and it’s not too cold. This 26km one way trail takes you across the peninsula from the calm bay waters in Dromana to the rugged coastline at Cape Schanck. It is one of the most popular routes for walking enthusiasts but can also be broken into small sections. More>>

2. New Brews

This time we are talking Two Bays Brewery in Dromana. They opened their doors toward the end of 2018 have been passionately working to bring you 5 new releases, with 9 brews on tap. Plus, we hear have more special brews in the works to be launched soon. So if you know someone that would be all about a gluten free beer then make sure you add them to your brew crew!  More>>

3. Take in an outdoor exhibition

The Sand Sculpting Australia exhibition of Peter Pan at Boneo Maze has been extended until the 31st of May which is great news for child within us all. Explore the magnificent sculptures and finish off with a round of mini golf or get lost in the maze. More>>

4. Wine time

Montalto have launched their ‘Off the Beaten Track’ 60 minute experience all about wine and also the ‘Perfect Pairing’ experience combining both food and wine. More>>

5. Seafood splendour

Out in the bay our local fisherman and boaties tell us that it’s a good time of year for catching squid, snapper, whiting and flathead. Head out with an expert or take charge and hire a boat to seek out the best seafood of the season. More>>

6. Hop to it

The hops are being harvested at Red Hill Brewery but if you can't make it to their hop picking session on March 8th  you can still taste their selection of beers that featire their own hops while enjoying a bite to eat. More>>

7.  Choo Choo

Mornington Railway recreates the original Victorian Railways line operation as a heritage and tourist railway running between Moorooduc and Mornington. This autumn they are welcoming back the peoples favourite train, the steam K163 locomotive. More>>

8. Unwind

Peninsula Hot Springs have launched new packages including ‘Fire, Ice and Bathe’, ‘Pilates and Bathe’, ‘Yoga and Bathe’ and finally ‘Clay and Bathe’. More>>

9. Amazing Adventure

Enchanted Adventure Garden recently opened their new 2-acre space which features a boardwalk and new hedge maze complete with viewing platform. A visit in autumn is the perfect time to see the gardens change, and with so many ways to get a bird’s eye view it’s an experience worth making time for. More>>

Each March Melbourne and regional Victorian foodies get the chance to try out the culinary delights on offer as restaurants, drinking holes and unique venues open their doors setting the scene for a gastronomic adventure.
