Zigis menu is centred around seasonal produce and the freshest seafood. Created by multi award winning Head Chef Michael Cole, showcasing the Peninsula’s unique coastal surrounds on a plate.
“When designing the menu I focused heavily on seafood variety and bite-size dishes that are fresh and delicious, on trend and exciting; with a few beach aprés classics.” said Michael Cole, Head Chef. “Zigis menu revolves primarily around our fish mongers’ freshest offerings, caught locally when available, as well as seasonal produce that inspires us.” The curated drinks list showcases the highlights of the Mornington Peninsula wine landscape, as well as a few select domestic and international offerings; with local, craft and premium bottled beers and cocktails to compliment the seasonal menu.
The white-washed interior of Zigis features a stunning artisan-made, bespoke bar, crafted from local Flinders pier timbers; set against a backdrop of hand-made turquoise Moroccan fish-scale tiles. The palette of natural textures and tones, coupled with the casual furniture sourced from around the globe, create a refined and relaxed atmosphere. A large open fireplace brings warmth and a cosy atmosphere during cooler months. Much lauded The Plant Society, have taken the interior foliage design through the space to create a seamless transition from outdoor to indoor, bringing serene accents to the bar. Acoustic live music is a mainstay on weekends, with local and interstate artists gracing the stage; bringing sunset-sessions to Flinders. Open Friday - Sunday 3pm til late with Live Acoustic Music on Saturdays at 6pm.
