Wander through the dappled shade of this beautiful cherry orchard with the opportunity to pick your own fruit and enjoy farm-fresh produce. Visit the family-run sustainably managed farm with an excellent range of seasonal fruits, free-range eggs and honey. There will be no lack of choice to fill your pantry with local delights. Since 1968, the family of Ripe ‘N’ Ready Cherry Farm have worked together to produce quality cherries and other seasonal produce. A must-see stop in Red Hill.
Red Hill Cherry Farm is the cherry farm oldest in the state and is a must-do when visiting the Mornington Peninsula. The cherry farm is open from mid-November to mid-January. Located in a secluded valley in the centre of Red Hill, the orchard houses twenty-five varieties of cherries over their 3,500 trees. The farm offers a boutique range of cherry products for you to enjoy cherries year-round including cherry ice cream, cherry cordial, cherry jam. There is something for everyone at Red Hill Cherry Farm.
Although known traditionally for their scrumptious apples and cider, this fifth-generation certified Demeter Bio-dynamic orchard also grows delicious sweet cherries. Here you can buy a ready-picked package to take home - fresh and delicious. You'll also find delights such as apple juice, apple cider vinegar and freeze-dried fruits. Mock has also recently renovated their outdoor terrace space, so you may consider stopping for a while to sample the onsite treats of the cider lounge.
Local Tip: Cherries are seasonal, so be quick. Supply can fluctuate according to demand, so they may not be available all the time. To avoid a wasted trip, check websites, social media or even give them a call to check availability before your visit.
