The ‘3 Farmers and a Chef’ pop up event series is a celebration of the flavours of the Mornington Peninsula that has one of the region’s talented chef’s prepare fantastic regional produce into a seasonal feast. Each event is different and definitely memorable. Guests get to go behind the scenes and meet 3 showcased Farmers and the Chef. The ‘3 Farmers and a Chef’ event series brings together the best produce and experiences the Mornington Peninsula has to offer in a genuine celebration of the region.
The rolling hills of the Mornington Peninsula are laced with vines, olive groves and orchards, while vegetable growers abound on the fertile sandy flatlands. Dotted among them all are butchers, bakers, cheeseries, cideries and breweries with passionate locals producing quality fare. Chefs take great pleasure in using the wall-to-wall produce available from local farms and kitchen gardens to deliver some of Australia’s best dining experiences - from funky cafes to fine dining restaurants.
The peninsula’s foodie scene has never been more vibrant and exciting, so it’s no wonder it was voted Australia’s 2018 Most Delicious Region, and reflecting all of this gourmet gorgeous-ness is the new and delicious ‘3 Farmers and a Chef’ event series. Imagine incredible seasonal, local produce sourced from farmers who love what they do and do it with passion. Take that produce and have it curated and prepared by a talented local chef and then presented at an idyllic location... this is ‘3 Farmers + A Chef”.
The inaugural 3 Farmers and A Chef event in the private barrel room at Crittenden Estate was an amazing journey through a hand-picked menu created from fresh seasonal Mornington Peninsula produce. Check out the video below.
