There’s a huge choice of play from social golf to the very demanding Open course at Moonah Links, which designer Peter Thomson calls the ‘Leviathan’ as it’s “one of the largest creatures on the planet”. Peter Thomson is just one of the golf legends who have designed some of our magnificent courses. Robert Trent Jones Jnr, Ross Perrett, Tony Cashmore, Tom Doak and Greg Norman have all been inspired by the extraordinary terrain on the Mornington Peninsula. The result: Golf Australia has ranked nine courses amongst the top 80 public access courses in Australia.

It’s no wonder this extraordinary region has been likened by many leading golf writers and top players to California’s Monterey, Scotland’s Fife and the Hamptons near New York. So why not start at the top of the Peninsula and work your way south. There is even an annual golf tournament playing multiple clubs for you to enter.
