A unique celebration of Jane Austen's 250th birthday with Caroline Jane Knight - the great niece of English literature’s favourite novelist Jane Austen.

Join us for a talk and exhibition celebrating the 250th anniversary of Austen’s birth set in Mornington’s most significant heritage property - Beleura.

With warmth, wit, and authentic family insights, Caroline offers a uniquely personal perspective on Jane Austen's transformation from a country parson's daughter to one of literature's most beloved and enduring voices.

Discover the fascinating connections between the Austen and Knight families that shaped both Jane's world and Caroline's childhood centuries later. Learn how Mr. Knightley in Emma was named after Caroline's own family and explore Jane's enduring legacy following her untimely death.

This is a rare opportunity to experience Jane Austen's world through family eyes in celebration of her extraordinary 250-year legacy.

Enjoy Caroline's talk followed by an Afternoon Tea served in Beleura's Gatehouse and view the special Inspired by Jane Austen@Beleura exhibition.
