On Sunday, June 8th in celebration of World Oceans Day, Pt. Leo Estate’s Relais & Chateaux exclusively appointed and two-hatted Laura restaurant will be hosting a unique winter dining experience for the ethically inclined fine diner. Culinary Director Josep Espuga, a passionate ambassador for sustainable seafood sourcing, has designed a unique culinary journey to celebrate World Ocean’s Day, where guests will be able to enjoy the best of winter’s produce from Mornington Peninsula providores, including sustainably sourced seafood from the waters of Mornington Peninsula, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Featured suppliers include Southern Seagreens, Harry’s Mussels, Flinders Oysters and Yarra Vally Caviar.
Our very own Western Port and the Mornington Peninsula is an official UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Pt. Leo Estate, based in Merricks on the magnificent Mornington Peninsula and overlooking the crystal clear waters of Western Port Bay, has long held a sustainable sourcing ethos working closely with local farmers and suppliers also practicing sustainable sourcing.
