For the first time, acclaimed Indian bansuri and shehnai master Pt. Rajendra Prasanna will perform at Peninsula Hot Springs, joined by world-class tabla player Abhishek Mishra and his nephew, celebrated Melbourne-based bansuri artist and Peninsula Hot Springs friend, Vinod Prasanna.

About the Artists

Hailing from a renowned musical family of the Benaras Gharana, Pt. Rajendra Prasanna is one of the few artists to have mastered two instruments at the highest level. His international career has spanned performances at the Sydney Opera House, WOMAD festivals, and the Royal Albert Hall, and has earned him prestigious honours including a Grammy Award certificate.

Abhishek Mishra is a highly regarded tabla player from a distinguished lineage of Indian classical musicians, celebrated for his dynamic style, intricate rhythms, and ability to seamlessly blend tradition with contemporary expression. Vinod Prasanna, an award-winning bansuri virtuoso now based in Melbourne, is renowned for his soulful, meditative playing and has become a beloved part of the Peninsula Hot Springs community through regular performances and sound healing workshops.

Together, their artistry creates an immersive musical dialogue, bringing the timeless beauty of Indian classical music to life.

Set against the backdrop of our open-air Amphitheatre, this special sunset performance will weave rich tradition, soulful improvisation, and deep cultural connection into an intimate one-hour concert.
