Thanks to the Summer by the Sea grant we would like to invite you come and Explore, learn and discover Aboriginal culture. Enjoy an Immersive Cultural Walk and Hands-On Activities with Living Culture. When you step into Living Culture you will experience a powerful and immersive cultural experience designed to deepen understanding, connection, and respect for Aboriginal culture.
Living Culture session takes participants on a journey through the stunning coastal landscapes along Camerons Bight Foreshore — Country rich with stories, native plants, wildlife, and deep cultural significance.
The morning begins with an engaging Animal Totem Dancing warm-up, helping children connect with Country through movement and meaning. The experience continues with a guided cultural walk, sharing stories of land, plants, animals, and their importance in Aboriginal culture. Participants will explore traditional bush tucker and medicines, see and handle cultural artefacts, and safely experience foam-tip spear throwing.
Hudson will finish with a relaxed group yarn, creating space for questions, reflection, and deeper connection.
This session is best suited for ages 10 and up. Parents or Guardians will also need to sign up for this event and are encouraged to participate and help guide their children throughout the experience.
