Summer brings berries and cherries, while autumn is time for apples and pears.  In winter, forage through the hinterland for seasonal produce, warm up with a meal beside a roaring fire or enjoy your favourite tipple overlooking glorious countryside. Stride out on a beach walk then reward yourself with hot soup or a woodfired pizza and a glass of red wine in a seaside village. Return in the Spring for crisp, fresh vegies and cherry blossom.

We are all looking for nutritious food to nourish us while we stay home, all the better if we can take advantage of Mornington Peninsula’s incredible cuisine and the talented local chefs making it! To get you started we hunted and gathered the ideal list of local businesses creating, making and baking the dream menu of take-home meals ready for you to enjoy.

Bring the essence of the springs home with a focus on fresh, healthy and local ingredients - Peninsula Hot Springs is launching a home delivered dining menu. Take time out and relax while they bring their delicious dishes of home-grown seasonal vegetables and herbs sourced from their very own food bowl, enhanced with locally and sustainably sourced produce, low in food mileage and high in community support. Nourish  body and soul  with their wholesome and seasonal dishes. Available for local delivery, lunch and dinner, 7 days a week.

Montalto Winery has launched their ‘Essentials Boxes’ -  wine, beer, cider, take-home meals and pantry items are all available to pre-purchase online. Pick up is from 11am - 4pm, 7 days a week. Simply drive into their driveway and they’ll place your pre-paid order in the boot of your car. No contact, no worries.

Rye Hotel is making life easy with drive through barista coffee from 7am daily. You can order take away or home delivery from their menu, including from the bottle shop.

Portsea Village Resort are taking the hassle out of cooking and preparing meals with a menu of delicious coffees, soups, main meals, desserts, drinks and breakfast essentials that will make the mouth water. Open from 8am to 8pm, you can drive in for a pick-up service through the front gate off Point Nepean Hwy. Delivery also available to postcodes 3944 & 3943 Portsea & Sorrento

Drop into Foxeys Hangout on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for a selection of take-home food as well (menu updated on Instagram weekly). Their cellar door remains open daily 10am-5pm for takeaway wine sales. With contactless carpark pick-up or free home delivery for Peninsula residents with a minimum order of six bottles - just give them a call at the winery and they’ll get it sorted.

The team at The Baths Sorrento have you covered for lunch and dinner with a takeaway menu that includes beer, wine and pre-mixed spirits 7 days a week: 12-3pm and 5-7pm

Flinders Hotel want to ensure you enjoy both a great deal and delicious food and are offering daily take-away meals and bottle shop purchases - with 25% off regular bottle shop prices for their extensive range of Mornington Peninsula wines. Many Little in Red Hill are cooking up a storm with daily takeaway orders from 4pm  with hot take-away curries (curries for two & family packs), the Many Little Larder or pre-prepared meals & hampers which include estate made preserves, oil and pasta sauces. Give them a call to place an order, you won’t be disappointed.

At Merricks General Wine Store they have designed a delicious menu of ‘food to go’, now offering a delectable showcase of breakfast, lunch and dinner takeaway options as well as all those essential pantry items, don’t worry, they also have takeaway bottles of wine or case sales available from their Cellar Door & online. For all their coffee fans, the Veranda coffee window is open as normal every day from 7am.

The talented crew at Blue Mini Café are working hard to keep your fridge stocked, offering click and collect or the option to call ahead for easy payment & pickup.  Get your takeaway coffee and sweet treats, daily essentials like eggs, dairy, bread, local beer & wine and ready-made and frozen meals to take home the taste of Blue Mini.  They have also made sure that house roasted coffee beans and hand blended tea available for delivery store to door.
