Sorrento Ignites the Winter Night with Fire, Feast, and Celebration!
This winter, the Sorrento Foreshore will blaze to life with fire, music, and celebration as Sorrento Fire Night debuts on Winter Solstice, Saturday 21 June.
Free to the community, the event promises a spectacular night of energy, light, and flavour — headlined by a towering six-metre-tall burning statue that will ignite the coastline.
A Night of Fire and Feast, the Sorrento Foreshore transforms into a glowing festival precinct, with:
-A 6-metre human figure sculpture ignited during a dramatic countdown
-Fire cannons lighting up the winter sky
-Matt Hill’s illuminated sculptures creating a magical coastal landscape
-Roaming fire twirlers and performers captivating the crowd
-A bustling village of food trucks, local wines and cocktails, and artisanal market stalls
Whether it’s sipping mulled wine by the fire pits or dancing under lights, Fire Night is set to spark a new winter tradition on the Peninsula.
Live Music, DJs and Roaming Entertainers
The soundtrack to the night features pumping DJs, while fiery performers weave among guests with breathtaking displays.
Every moment — from the crackle of fire to the beat of the music — is designed to warm the spirit and celebrate the season’s longest night.
“This is more than a festival — it’s a celebration of light, resilience, and community spirit. From the first swim at dawn to the final sparks over the foreshore, Sorrento Fire Night will ignite hearts and warm the soul this winter.”
