The Winter Sleep Out is a community initiative hosted by The Ranch Adventure Park in partnership with Southern Peninsula Community Support (SPCS), aiming to raise awareness about rough sleeping on the Southern Peninsula.
Participants will spend the night in their cars to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing rough sleeping, while helping to raise vital funds for local support services.
Families and individuals will be able to book a site and spend the night experiencing what a night without secure housing can feel like. During the evening, we will gather around the big screen to hear from the team at Southern Peninsula Community Support about the challenges and realities they see every week and how we, as a community, can help moving forward.
All participants will receive a food pack like those distributed (through SPCS) to people experiencing homelessness, along with soup and a hot cuppa.
This is not about comfort – it is about the experience! Understanding the discomforts of sleeping rough.
Ticket pricing from $60pp
