HOME — What's On
Sunday 21 June 2026 | From 7am to 9am
There is a particular quality to the bay at sunrise in June. The light comes slowly, the water is cold and clear, and the Sorrento foreshore is quiet in a way it rarely is. The Sorrento Solstice Dawn Swim invites you into it.
Taking place on the morning after the Sorrento Solstice Festival, the Dawn Swim has become its own tradition for those who want to mark the winter solstice in a way they will not forget. Participants gather at the foreshore at first light, enter Port Phillip Bay together and begin the shortest day of the year in the water.
It is a ticketed event, with numbers limited to ensure the experience stays intimate. Whether you swam the night before or are arriving fresh for Sunday morning, the Dawn Swim is a fitting way to close the solstice weekend on the Peninsula.
