Quealy Winemakers takes over The Bodega
This month, we're handing our shelves to Quealy: the Balnarring vineyard that brought pinot gris to the Peninsula and never stopped chasing the unconventional since. Founded by Kathleen Quealy and Kevin McCarthy, now joined by son Tom, their organic, low-intervention wines run from classic pinot noir to rare Italian varieties like Friulano and Ribolla Gialla.
Set on Dromana's beachside strip, The Bodega pairs a 250-strong, ever-changing cellar with charcuterie, oysters and share plates — a warm, European-style room built for lingering.
Each residency means:
$20pp tastings, changing weekly
Two wines by the glass, all month long
10% off residency bottles every Sunday
A final Dinner with the Winemaker, to taste, learn, and connect.
Save the date: Quealy's own winemaker joins us later this month for that closing dinner. Seats will be limited.
