Join Whitecliffs Foreshore Reserve and Living with Wildlife for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to use natural materials to create insect habitats that support pollinators and other beneficial bugs.
These mini insect hotels help protect larvae from extreme temperatures, support biodiversity, and are a great way to connect with nature through creativity and conservation.
Your insect hotel may attract:
Native bees
Beetles
Ladybirds
Hoverflies
Lacewings
Spiders
Native earwig
Cost: Subsidised fee – participants will need to pay for their crafting materials, $17.19 per participant. Only buy a ticket if you would like to participate in the session. Parents can either help their kids (free) or make their own bug hotel ($17.19).
All ages welcome (recommended for ages 5–13; children must be accompanied by an adult)
Important: Please dress warmly and bring appropriate clothing as the event will be held outdoors under cover.
