Following their acclaimed 2025 performance of Arterial, we’re thrilled to welcome Na Djinang Circus back to Frankston in 2026 with Of The Land On Which We Meet.

“The audience jumped to a standing ovation at the end. You cannot help but feel the joy of circus prowess watching them.” – Fringe Review, 2024.

Na Djinang Circus’s most challenging work to date, this production weaves form, story and political inquiry in search of collective hope. Three Australians — a First Nations person, a descendant of settlers and a migrant — ask one urgent question: How should we acknowledge Country?

Through heartbreaking circus and bodies colliding, lifting and slipping away, the work exposes the clumsy, dangerous dialogue around this question. Spoken text threads the performers’ lived experiences as they wrestle with the weight of words and the necessity of action.

With five-star reviews at home and abroad, this physical triumph refuses simple answers, holding space for contradiction, discomfort and connection — and suggesting the impossible can be willed into existence when we move through it together.

“This performance is an awe-inspiring and deeply moving experience.” – Stage Whispers
