Come Meet Our Babies
The pouches are bulging with new life at Moonlit Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservation Park. It is home to the cutest swamp wallabies who are free to range through the melaleuca bushland around the Wallaby Walk. As the joeys grow throughout Spring, so do the pouches. And feeding the mothers gets you up close for your chance to take a great photo (and enter their competition).
Baby goats are always fun, and there are just so many of these cuties bouncing around at Main Ridge Dairy. You can meet them and pat the babies on a special tour, and finish it all off with a gelato or cookie. So many photo opportunities.
At Rain Hayne Shine Farmyards the baby goats have loads of baby friends– ducklings, piglets, chickens and even goslings later in October. There are calves to feed with a bottle and loads of opportunities to cuddle and pat new friends. Just bring your smile and your gumboots. Oh, and there is a Grand Parade each day at 1pm during the School Holidays.
Green Olive at Red Hill has fun Farm Tours where you can feed the chooks and ducks, pat Gracie the pony and chat with the pigs, a great trampoline to try out or maybe cupcake decorating, farm art sessions, or pizza decorating.
A trip on Searoad Ferries between Sorrento and Queenscliff offers more than great views over the school holidays with pirate shows, craft activities, dolphin discovery workshops and even a special kids High Tea… complete with face-painting. Sign me up!
Adventure Zone
The famous Enchanted Adventure Garden has mazes and puzzles galore, tube slides, ziplines and tree-surfing suitable for all ages, but if you need some down time check out the sculpture trail and brand new garden redevelopments.
For the more adventurous over the school holidays, the Boneo Maze offers high energy rock climbing walls, bungee tramps, quad tramps and pedal boats, plus the mini golf and mazes. Thank goodness for the 1.5 kilometres of boardwalks through the wetland to relax on.
