Mornington Peninsula shines at the 2019 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards

Mornington Peninsula tourism operators showcased the very high quality and diversity of their visitor experiences when local businesses enjoyed spectacular success at the 2019 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards on Thursday 28 November.

Mornington Peninsula tourism operators showcased the very high quality and diversity of their visitor experiences when local businesses enjoyed spectacular success at the 2019 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards on Thursday 28 November.

As longstanding supporters of the awards, the Mornington Peninsula Regional Tourism team were proud to see such a rich field of entrants with 16 nominations from the region, four of whom won Gold Awards along with three Silver, four Bronze and one Finalist.

“The tourism awards play a key role in recognising excellence in tourism. We are really proud of the region’s success; of the sixteen entries 75% won either a certificate or podium place,” said Tracey Cooper, Chairman, Mornington Peninsula Regional Tourism Board.  “The awards process is an ideal way for businesses to review their tourism experience and continually improve it for their visitors. It is terrific to see the industry embrace the spirit of co-operative competition and come together to celebrate the best Victoria has to offer. We honour the region’s 2019 business category winners and entrants.”

All Victorian business category gold winners are automatically entered into the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards which will be held in Canberra early in 2020.
