Mornington Peninsula named Victoria’s most awarded regional destination in the 2026 Michelin Key selection.
The Peninsula’s 2026 recipients are:
Jackalope is the only Victorian property to receive Two Michelin Keys, making it the state’s highest-rated hotel in the 2026 selection. The Mornington Peninsula also received more Michelin Keys than any other Victorian destination outside Melbourne.

Often described as the hotel equivalent of Michelin Stars, Michelin Keys recognise properties that deliver exceptional stays. Hotels are independently assessed across five criteria, including design, service, character, value and their contribution to the destination.

Mornington Peninsula Regional Tourism Chief Executive Angela Cleland said the recognition was an extraordinary achievement for the three properties and the wider region.
“Four Michelin Keys across three Mornington Peninsula properties is something our region can be genuinely proud of. These awards recognise the vision, investment and extraordinary attention to detail that Jackalope, InterContinental Sorrento and The Sanctuary at Alba bring to every guest experience.
“To have Victoria’s only Two Key hotel, alongside two outstanding One Key properties, speaks volumes about the quality of accommodation and service available here.

The three recognised properties each offer a distinctive expression of the Mornington Peninsula, from Jackalope’s bold design and vineyard setting to the coastal heritage of InterContinental Sorrento and the restorative thermal bathing experience offered by The Sanctuary at Alba.
Together, they demonstrate the depth, quality and international appeal of the region’s accommodation offering.
