Jazz at Alba comes to the Mornington Peninsula
Warm mineral waters, a glass of Peninsula wine and live jazz drifting through native gardens. This October, invites you to settle into a different rhythm.
For the first time in its 29-year history, Melbourne International Jazz Festival is bringing its program to the Mornington Peninsula. Across three dates, 22, 23 and 25 October, Jazz at Alba will pair contemporary Australian jazz with the restorative pleasures of geothermal bathing.
It’s an invitation to slow down, slip into a robe and let the music become part of your escape. Whether you’re soaking in the pools, stretching out on a picnic rug or sharing canapés and wine before another dip, there’s more than one way to enjoy the afternoon or evening.
Three dates, three reasons to linger.
On Thursday 22 October, saxophonist and composer Holly Moore leads her trio with guitarist Matt Hoyne and double bassist Robbie Finch. Known for her expressive compositions and commanding musicianship, Moore will perform two sets, from 5pm and 6.30pm. Swing by and check out the details here
On Friday 23 October, the Dean Kalait Trio brings a blend of lyrical saxophone, storytelling and experimental creativity. Joined by Lily Appelt on double bass and Quinn Knight on drums, Kalait will perform from 5pm and 6.30pm. Explore more about the Dean Kalait Trio here
For a leisurely Sunday outing, Clancye Milne and Benjamin Attiche take the stage on 25 October. The vocalist and guitarist will share heartfelt originals and feel-good jazz standards across two afternoon sets, from 2pm and 3.30pm. Make your Sunday special with the details here
Live jazz is included with bathing admission, and you can enjoy the music as part of your time exploring Alba’s geothermal pools and tranquil surrounds.
For a little extra indulgence, choose a cheese and wine or canapés and wine experience packages are also available.

Come for the music, leave time for the waters and make room for a little Peninsula timeout. With three dates to choose from, your spring escape could have a beautiful new soundtrack.
