Peninsula Insider With Torie Mackinnon

Today we met with local Torie Mackinnon who is celebrating her 20th year as a captain with Moonraker Dolphin Swims.

As the now Managing Director of the business her passion for the marine environment extends back to her time growing up in Sorrento, which quickly strengthened with her involvement in the family business from the age of 18. Today, Moonraker Dolphin Swims in Sorrento remains a leader in eco-friendly marine experiences. The second-generation family-owned and operated business has been recognised with an array of accolades since its inception, including Victorian and Australian Tourism Awards, Global Eco-Tourism Awards and Women’s Business Awards. Torie, a mother to three boys, continues to uphold the core philosophy of Moonraker Dolphin Swims; unique and sustainable marine adventures delivered by passionate and dedicated locals.  We caught up with Torie to talk dolphins and the Mornington Peninsula.
