Lander—Se is an artist-run gallery and creative destination located in Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula.
Presenting a contemporary, spiritual portrait of the Australian landscape, Lander—Se is an artist-run initiative established in 2024 in Red Hill, Victoria. Formed within a vernacular barn on 2.5 acres, the gallery fuses art and land in a grounded, earthly space. Redefining galleries through a collaborative platform, Lander—Se fosters the longevity of artistic careers and our environment — a rural sanctuary of creative programs and exhibitions in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula.
Founded by artist Hannah Nowlan, Lander—Se presents a rotating program of contemporary exhibitions featuring painting, sculpture and mixed media by both emerging and established Australian artists. Alongside exhibitions, the gallery hosts creative workshops, artist talks and seasonal events that invite visitors to engage more deeply with artistic practice and the surrounding landscape.
Designed as a welcoming and approachable gallery experience, Lander—Se encourages visitors to slow down and spend time with the work in a relaxed rural setting. The space brings together art, landscape and community, creating a unique cultural destination within the Mornington Peninsula and offering visitors a grounded environment in which to experience contemporary Australian art.
In addition to the exhibition program, the gallery features a curated shop offering artworks, artist-made objects, art supplies and the in-house natural scent collection, Nunchi Oils, handcrafted on-site.
A visit to Lander—Se offers an opportunity to discover contemporary Australian artists while enjoying the atmosphere of a working artist-run initiative embedded within the Peninsula landscape.
