At Butterken Bakery we are dedicated to handcrafting sourdough bread of artisan quality, with a modern approach to health, sustainability and taste. We also offer a rotating menu of baked goods and pastries inspired by German bakery items such as Bretzels (pretzels), Brotchen (German rolls), Zimt Schnecke (cinnamon scrolls), Bienenstich (beesting) and much more.
We love to use sourdough bread for its superior flavour and health qualities. It’s why we only use natural, high quality ingredients and proper techniques to maximise nutrition. We also use seasonal produce, working directly with farmers and suppliers from across Victoria and bordering regions to promote the sustainability of our business practices and harness the great taste of Australian fruit and vegetables. All of our products are baked on-site in an open production space so that you can see what goes into your bread from start to finish for yourself. We can't wait for you to visit!
