Follow Polperro’s distinguished Executive Chef Michael Demagistris as he forages the region in search for delicious, fresh seasonal ingredients to create his final dish - Country-farmed beef terrine served with spiced apple chutney, sourdough crisps and organic black garlic. Along the journey, meet three local farmers, each of whom provide a behind-the-scenes tour of their business, share the journey of their trade and showcase the produce of which they offer.

Jason grows and mills heritage, ancient and modern grains at Tuerong Farm, Tuerong. He is passionate about diversity, nutrition and flavour in grains, and building a more resilient agriculture through diverse genetics and sustainable farming systems. Jason’s passion is reflected in the quality and variety of flour available at Tuerong Farm.
Glenn Staples is a second-generation orchardist at Staples Apples, his family-owned apple and cherry orchard since 1953. Hosting a wide variety of apples, Staples Apples’ modern practices guarantee the incredible quality of their fruit, which continues to grow from strength to strength. Striving for a modern progressive orchard, Glenn is open to expanding their varieties as needs arise.
Eddie Matt, third generation farmer at Hillock Downs Produce Store, is committed to ethical, sustainable, and traditional farming. Growing his own high quality lucerne feed, Eddie is passionate about producing quality beef naturally and free of any chemicals.
Executive Chef Michael Demagistris leads both kitchen venues at Polperro and Many Little. Having had his passion for food ingrained in him since childhood, Michael showcases delivering incredibly flavoursome food that emphasises the region’s local produce. Michael has developed a menu that highlights his culinary skills and thirst for innovation, as well as his love for foraging and sourcing the best produce the region has to offer.
