Located just 40 minutes from Melbourne's city centre and at the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula, Chief's Son Distillery in Somerville invites visitors to experience one of Australia's leading family-owned whisky distilleries.

Established in 2013 by Stuart and Naomi McIntosh, Chief's Son is now one of the largest family-owned and operated distilleries in Australia and the only single malt whisky distillery on the Mornington Peninsula. Known for its bold, distinctive and award-winning single malt whiskies, the distillery has also expanded its range with the unique addition of Single Malt Vodka.

Visitors are welcomed into the tasting room overlooking the working distillery floor, where tailored whisky tastings are designed to suit every level of knowledge and interest. Learn how the whiskies are crafted, where the grains and barrels are sourced, and follow the journey from malt to maturation while taking in the rich aromas of ageing whisky.

For a deeper experience, book a guided distillery tour and step onto the production floor. Guests will taste whisky straight from the barrel and take home a 100 millilitre sample as a keepsake, with the option to add a perfectly paired cheese platter or chocolate tasting.
