Savour Max's Final Harvest on the Mornington Peninsula

Your Last Chance to Experience a Local Icon This Summer

After more than 30 years of stories, celebrations, and slow afternoons overlooking the vines, Max’s Restaurant will close its doors at the end of February. As the Mornington Peninsula’s first winery restaurant, Max’s has shaped the region’s food and wine identity, long before the Peninsula became known for landmark dining and cool-climate wines.

This summer marks a long goodbye, and Max’s is inviting locals, regulars, and long-time fans to return for one last hurrah. On the menu will be long lunches with sweeping views over the vines, signature dishes that feel like old friends, and that unmistakable generosity that has welcomed visitors for decades.

Whether it's the meal you've been meaning to book, the celebration you want to squeeze in, or the memory you want to relive, these final months are your moment. The team will be serving right through summer with their classic seasonal menus, so the experience you love is exactly the one you'll get.
